HOW TO MAKE HEMP MILK

Just as there are the so-called milks of rice, soya, oats ..., which are actually vegetable drinks that by their color we have called "milk", you can also make one of these drinks from hemp seeds.

There are many reasons to leave cow's milk. Beyond veganism, 40% of the Western population is lactose intolerant, although a large part is undiagnosed. This percentage suffers from different problems when consuming dairy products, from gas, diarrhea and constipation to colic.

Hemp milk is possibly one of the healthiest vegetable milks and you can prepare easily and easily from home in just two minutes.

There are different ways to make hemp milk. The easiest and quickest way is to use peeled hemp seeds (also known as hemp seed hearts). This means they can be mixed quickly without the need to glue. The second option is as healthy as the first is with whole hemp seeds, with the only difference being that it has to strain the milk to remove the remains of the shell.

Hemp has a slight nutty taste and this makes the experience much more enjoyable. If you are not familiar with it is your opportunity to start using hemp foods as they are highly recommended for their high nutritional value.

 

STEPS FOR THE ELABORATION OF CANE MILK

To this recipe I add a little coconut sugar and vanilla to give a special touch, although you can make it simpler still, with only hemp seeds and water.

Ingredients
100g (1/2 cup) of hemp seed without shelf

500 ml (2 cups) of water

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 teaspoons coconut sugar

 

Instructions
-Add all ingredients to a mixing jug.

-Mix for about a minute or until all is well combined.

-Put the hemp milk in a large bottle or a bottle (always made of glass).

-Introduce the milk in the refrigerator before serving (it is much more good once refrigerated).

-When you take the milk from the refrigerator you may find a posed caused by the hemp seeds, but my recommendation is that you do not eliminate it because it is very nutritious.

Note: If you want to eliminate the milkshake or if you have used the whole seeds for this recipe, it may be advisable to pour the liquid through a cloth strainer.

-Before you drink the milk, shake it and it will be ready to drink and to start the day with energy.
